Multi Stage Centrifugal

Multi-Stage Centrifugal pumps are like having several series-piped single stage centrifugal pumps all contained in a single package. Rather than having to deal with the nightmare of piping many pumps in a row, manufacturers have designed pumps that integrate multiple impellers into a single pump body. The benefit? Higher discharge pressures.

Single stage pumps have discharge pressures that are limited by the affinity laws. At some point, having a larger diameter impeller to boost pressure becomes impractical. This is where a multi-stage design is the right choice.

Multi-stage pumps are available in both horizontal and vertical configurations to meet space requirements. They are commonly used on services such as boiler feedwater, condensate removal, pressure boosting for building services, and Reverse Osmosis(RO) membrane filtration.
