Pump Types
Meeting the huge range of applications that we encounter on a daily basis is a challenge. As a supplier, it's critical to have a portfolio of products to effectively satisfy those applications.
Chemical Metering/Dosing
Extremely accurate flow control requires a metering or dosing pump. Typically constructed on a variant of a Positive Displacement type pump, these pumps are designed to deliver a consistent volume of fluid for each pumping action.
The most common style is a single diaphragm dosing pump which operates by stroking a single diaphragm open and closed in a fixed chamber. The volume delivered per stroke never changes making it possible to control fluid flow very accurately simply by varying the stroke speed. Coupling this with stepping-motors that can move the diaphragm in extremely small increments makes the pump perfect for incredibly accurate control. These pumps can be supplied with controls ranging from simple dial-type speed controls to precise digital controllers that will monitor not only delivery rates but also overall batch volume.
Webb Pump is proud to represent the Grundfos family of dosing pumps which includes their Digital Dosing products as well as those previously manufactured by Alldos.
Other types of metering pumps are also available including gear pumps, double diaphragm pumps, peristaltic pumps, and rotary lobe pumps. Depending on the accuracy required, Webb Pump has a number of solutions that can do the job!
